Becoming a New Patient
We are so excited you found Honest Wellness Center and are considering partnering with us to help you on your journey back to wellness.
We are different. We offer an honest approach to real health.
We look for the cause of your symptoms. We consider your genetics, exposures and lifestyle to personalize your medical plan. Our goal is to help you feel normal again.
If you are ready to start your journey, please follow these steps:
- Go to the About section and read about functional and integrative medicine.
- You may schedule a new patient visit from our website. Please see the schedule tab.
- We would appreciate copies of any available medical records several days in advance of your appointment. If we have this information in advance, we can spend more of your visit time getting to know you instead of reviewing records. Our fax is (844)246-6378.
- Once you have scheduled a patient appointment, please register with our patient portal here: https://sherrybrewermd.md-hq.com/registration . You need to complete all three consent forms and the new patient questionnaires.
Initial visits
Your initial visit will include an 60-75-minute visit with Dr. Brewer. No other patients are scheduled during your appointment time.
- Initial visit: $450
- 60-75-minute visit with Dr. Brewer. During the visit, Dr. Brewer will address some or all of the following items:
- Review personal health goals
- Review medical history
- Review medical records and laboratory data
- Targeted Physical exam
- Develop personalized medical plan
- 60-75-minute visit with Dr. Brewer. During the visit, Dr. Brewer will address some or all of the following items:
Follow-up visits
- 60-minute follow-up visit with Dr. Brewer: $300
- 30 minute follow-up visit with Dr. Brewer $150
- 30-minute phone follow-up with Dr. Brewer: $150
- 15-minute phone follow-up with Dr. Brewer: $75
Practice Policies
Cancellation of Appointments
We spend a lot of time with our patients and therefore have a limited number of available appointment slots. Due to the high demand for our services, we have a 3-day cancellation policy. If an appointment is cancelled with less than 3 days notice, your credit card will be charged for the visit. We understand that life happens so if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please call our office within the cancellation policy guidelines.
Payment Options
Our office accepts cash, checks or credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, American Express or Discover) at the time services are rendered. We require a credit card to schedule a visit.
Insurance Information
At Honest Wellness Center we choose to spend our time developing relationships with our patients rather than managing relationships with insurance companies. Therefore, we do not accept any form of insurance or Medicare/Medicaid. You may use pretax dollars from a Health Savings Account or Flexible Spending Account to pay for services.
We will provide you with a summary of diagnostic and procedure codes to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement, but cannot guarantee our services will be covered. We recommend you call your insurance company to find out what your specific plan will cover.
We are not a Medicare provider and billing for our services may not be submitted to Medicare or Medicaid for reimbursement.
Laboratory Fees
At Honest Wellness Center we use a variety of labs to identify the source of your symptoms.
Conventional Lab Studies
We work with a local lab company who will draw your labs and file a claim with your insurance company. These labs will be subject to your insurance company copayments. You should contact your insurance company to determine what labs they will cover. As an option, we belong to a lab co-op and can offer labs at a discounted cash rate.
Functional Medicine Lab Studies
At Honest Wellness Center we use state-of-the-art laboratory studies to help identify the source of your symptoms. These labs may or may not be covered by your insurance company. We collect payment for some of these studies at the time of your visit or you will include payment with your lab kit.
If the lab requires a blood draw, there will be an additional fee assessed at the laboratory.
